Samsung Shows Off 82-inch LCD TV

Samsung Electronics showcased the world's largest plasma display panel (PDP) TV, measuring 102", the world's largest TFT-LCD TV, measuring 82", and the world's largest OLED display, measuring 40", at the company's 2005 Global Road Show in New York. The 82" TFT-LCD TV has less than 8 ms response time and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Samsung's LCD TV also supports 1080p input and can scale incoming signals to display at the higher resolution. Shipping date and MSRP is TBD.

This is awesome news for sure!

Installation possibilities will be vastly expanded!

Pretty soon they'll have to start advertise measurements in feet or meters for simple folk like me who have a hard time converting inches into feet

102" is huge! Insane really! An 8 1/2 ft screen in my living room would definitely make me salivate!
