Samsung PN58A550 vs. Panny TH-50PZ800U

The new Samsung 58" is a possible purchase as well as the new Panny "50 800 series. I'd like a bigger display but I'm no too sure about Samsung reliability. I haven't seen any Panny displays in the new 800 series larger than 50" or it would be no contest (maybe in a few months?) I have a 3 year old panny plasma that has worked without incident (knock on wood)

Anyone own one of the new Samsungs? I read the reviews on consumer reports that gave it one of their tops ratings, even over Panny. Their repair history is still not as good as Panny though. Maybe I'll just wait for a 800 series 58" model (is one coming out?)

I would expect an 800 series 58" in the short term future (3-4 months). The large models seem to lag behind the others for Panasonic. If the 58 is anything like the 50" 800 series models it will be "wonderpictureaccuracy" on a large scale.
