Welcome to the forum!

There is more than one type of cable that will get you full surround sound, and the Samsung HT-TZ315 uses two of them:
  • HDMI cables will carry digital audio and digital video.
  • Optical digital audio cables carry digital audio, but no video.
That system has an HDMI output that will transfer audio and video to your plasma, and it has a optical digital audio input to transfer audio from your TV (or other component) to the Samsung.

Does that answer your question?

we already brought the first cable, so it must be the second one?

Are you hooking up a cable box to the TV? I ask because I'm wondering about the best connections for your whole system.

In terms of connecting the audio output on the plasma to the Samsung surround system, if the plasma has an optical output, then that's the best one to use. Here are some good examples of optical digital audio cables.

might just buy the Optical digital audio cable an see how we go, another question can i turn my system from 5.1 to 7.1?

All things considered, I don't think that it would be worth trying to convert that into a 7.1 system. I don't think that it would be possible to create a true 7.1 system with it. You could run two more surround speakers and have them output the same sound as the existing rear surrounds (so, a "fake" 7.1), but that wouldn't necessarily be inexpensive or even worthwhile.

Just my opinion.
