It came today, and I haven't even really had time to set it all up and hook up all my sources yet. The only thing connected so far is my Comcast DVR, via component video cables, so I've bee watching HD cable broadcasts.

I've been literally riveted to this TV for the past 6 hours. I can't take my eyes off it. It is so clear and detailed, I just can't get over it. The black level is incredible, and the color is so natural it just takes your breath away. For the time being I copied the recommended settings for this set from CNet. They seem pretty good, but I will likely tweak it a bit more.

I've flipped through the channels a few times looking at SD channels just to see how the set handles low resolution. I can't say it is outstanding on SD 480i source, but it isn't all that bad either. It actually handles the low res stuff better than my Vizio 768p LCD panel, particularly the cartoons and animated stuff.

The only thing weird I noticed so far is the audio from the set's speakers cut out for a brief 1/2 second on two different occasions. I'm not sure if it is a problem with the TV, the cable, or the Comcast DVR.

So far, I'm pretty darn impressed with this set, even more than I was impressed in the store. I'm going to enjoy watching movies on this set a great deal. I can't wait to put some HD or BD DVD content on it.
