For some time I've owned a Pioneer plasma tv. It has "Audio Out L" and "Audio Out R" RCA jacks for speakers. As an upgrade I replaced the original speakers with aftermarket speakers by simply unplugging the originals and plugging in the aftermarkets.
Recently I purchased a Samsung UN46C8000xfza. One of the best features of the tv is that my wife and I can listen to Pandora through the Internet@TV function (something the Pioneer won't do). We'd like to be able to listen to Pandora in other rooms without using the current method of increasing the volume back in the room that has Samsung tv set so that it's loud enough to be heard throughout the house. With the Pioneer in mind, I thought the best way to do that would be attach speakers to the Samsung and then string the speakers into the other rooms.
Unfortunately, I've discovered the Samsung doesn't have "Audio Out" RCA jacks. Instead, the tv has a single "Digital Audio Out (Optical)" jack and a single "Audio Out" jack. Both of those "Out" female jacks on the tv appear to be just the right size to accommodate the male jack at the end of my kids' earphone wires.
If you didn't see it coming, here it is: How do I attach external speakers to my Samsung?
Thanks in advance.
