Enthusiast
I've had the set now for a week and am very pleased.

Overview
This TV is just massive. My previous 57" just doesn't hold a candle to this beautiful monster. The touch of red color is very nice. I even rigged up a small light to cast light onto the wall behind the TV. I have a red wall, so the color with the subtle lighting a red translucent bezel is nice.

Controls
The buttons on the TV aren't really buttons, but rather just contact points on the smooth glass bezel. They light up if you slide your finger across it. My wife has had trouble with the buttons, sometimes hitting the channel up/down instead of power like she wanted. I haven't had problems though.

The remote is simple, but functional, but who uses their TV remote anyhow?

Black Levels
Not as good as the Pioneer Kuros, but still excellent. This TV replaced my 57" Hitachi 57S715 CRT RP which had awesome black levels. While I can't say that I didn't notice that the black levels weren't as deep, they are very acceptable and do not affect my enjoyment of movies (my primary viewing material).

Colors / Settings
I been playing around with the 3 built in settings and haven't quite settled on which ones I like. I had trouble with flesh tones in the Blu-Ray of Big Fish, but Iron Man looked perfect. I suspect it was something to do with the dreamy, over-saturated look of the Big Fish disc itself.

FIOS HDTV looks great, colors look marvelous.

I keep the contrast and brightness down around half-way or just under as my TV is in a dedicated theater where lighting is 100% controlled. I don't know how this TV might very in a more typical living room situation.

I am not an expert, so if there is something specific you'd like me to look at, let me know.

Burn-In
I've already noticed how easy it is to see a ghosted image on a plasma set. I accidentally left the Denon logo onscreen for a few hours and it stayed there. An hour of watching HDTV made it disappear entirely though and I didn't notice it in the TV content, only when the screen was entirely black. Now it's gone, even on a black screen.

Scaling
I can't comment on the scaling as I cannot tell (I'm a noob) if the Denon AVR-3808 is doing the scaling or if it's the TV. In any case, my DVDs look better than ever.

Conclusion
Love it, love it, love it. I almost bought the Pioneer Kuro, but opted for the larger set which had a higher WAF. I paid $3350 at Video Only in Beaverton, OR.

Samsung Plasma too

I've had my Samsung Plasma(FP-T6374)for about 14 months now. The love affair gets stronger every day for me. Just when I'd thought I'd seen all of the amazing colors and definition this set could render, I'll see something on Discovery, or Sunrise Earth, on an HDTV channel, and I am in Hi Def Video Heaven all over again.
I only knew about Samsung's quality by word of mouth before I started auditioning all the different brands of Plasmas and LCDs, before I purchased my set.
I love this monster of a set, and I am glad to read about another happy Samsung owner! I wish you all the best in your Hi Def adventures with your new "Sammy".
Good Luck! :) Joe B.
