Sams Club today announced it has teamed up with Humax and TiVo to sell its recorders in 300 clubs by early August, with future plans to expand availability and deepen product selection. The initial Humax lineup will include the 80-hour TiVo Series2 DVR, which requires the TiVo service and give viewers the ability to easily find and record their favorite TV programs without the hassles of video tape. The TiVo service not only allows subscribers to control live TV with features such as pause, rewind, slow motion, and instant replay, but includes exclusive features like WishList searches and Season Pass recordings, allowing viewers to record every episode of their favorite programs -- even skipping the repeats.
