Sad but true, people don't pay attention anymore

Just yesterday the woman and I were having a discussion about how wrapped up in all their tech people are that they are literally oblivious to things going on around them and then this story hit:

The man drew the gun several times on the crowded San Francisco commuter train, with surveillance video showing him pointing it across the aisle without anyone noticing and then putting it back against his side, according to authorities.

The other passengers were so absorbed in their phones and tablets they didn't notice the gunman until he randomly shot and killed a university student, authorities said.

Sad, I seen a girl {maybe a month ago} so busy texting in the supermarket parking lot she didn't notice the carriage with her baby {sleeping, looked about 9 months old} rolling away from her in the parking lot, I had my son jump out of my truck and catch the carriage, then she didn't even say thank you, the carriage was at least 40 feet from her and gaining speed towards a hill that goes to a main road.... {dinos park and shop on rt 44 -any RI'ers here will know what I am talking about}...
People need to start paying attention, it seems like any time not being entertained by our phones, a news paper, ect is wasted and thats not the case, sometimes it better to just pay attentino to what you are doing and what is going on around you...

Yeah, people are stupid but some go the extra mile. Here's a story in threee parts.

First, watch this video.

Can't see much from that distance, can you? Shewasn't hurt and nobody knew who she was.

But no, she had to make it worse. She saw fit to make herself famous. Read this link for more detail on her subsequent lawsuit.

Finally, now that she was famous, her past caught up with her. See this last link

It's one thing to be clumsy, but to see what happened when she compounded it with greed and arrogance is simply delicious.

she shoulda kept her fargin' mouth shut.

That's an old one, and yes, that chick was just flat out idiotic. It was proven that she was basically trying to get money out of the mall, since she worked there.

Our discussion came about because we were at a restaurant and a guy pulled up with his headphones in and I mentioned to her that I saw some fool on the freeway in a Jeep with no doors and BEATS by Dre on his head. Seriously stupid people out there.

Why on why can't people live in the moment anymore where they can feel the terror of having a gun pointed to their face? They have to put a camera phone in between and take a picture. lol
