SACD w/ RX-V2400

OK, just got my first SACD. I am using the SONY DVP CX777ES DVD/SACD/DC player with the RX-V2400 receiver. I can play movies fine, but when I tried to play my first SACD, I get no sound.

The DVP CX777ES is connected with a TOSLINK optical cable.

Any suggestions????

You must use the 5.1 analog input to play SACD. Only the two channel stereo mix can be played using the optical cable.

After connecting the DVD player with the analog 5.1 out, you will need to go into the dvd player set-up menu and set the SACD output to multi-channel instead of 2ch. Usually the default playback for SACD is 2ch.
