Sorry folks. Yet another Newbie question.

The wife and I picked up our first DVD player this evening. Toshiba SVD392

Should I go directly to my television via S-Video, or perhaps something along the lines of of the Monster MV2CV-4M.

What are the pros and cons, if any.

Does anyone know of an article or thread that I can refer to perhaps.

Thank you in advance. Much appreciated.

Peter

Use Component if you can, if not use the S-vid...Componet (RGB) is a much better picture than S-video. Also stay away from Monster...it is over hyped. Save yourself some money and use the Dayton Audio Cables:

Thanks so much for the reply. No one else bothered to take the time to give me their 2 cents.

Wish I would have spoken to you before I spent the 50.00 on ebay to purchase the Monster MV2CV-4M. Keep in mind, that I am located in canada. So the cables that you suggested would have cost me more with the exchange and all.

Do you think that I made a mistake buying the Monster cable.

They are slightly used, but are apparently in excellent condition, and come in their original package.

I will be receiving the cable early next week. I will keep you posted.

Once again, your response and advice is greatly appreciated.

Bye for now. Peter

Monster Good or bad?

The dayton line might have cost alittle more but still would have been less than monster.

Monster is a good cable...they just do a very good job at marketing..to make it sound better than it is. It comes down to what you want and like...monster is much like Bose....wonderful marketing department but "ok" stuff. I personaly wouldn't but Monster, but that is me.
