S-Video problem

Ok, i just got an svideo cable off of ebay and i plugged it in to find that the image is only displayed in black and white. I have one other S-Video cable that displays perfect color picture, so im positive that it is the cable. Is there any way to correct this or do i have to ship it back?

If you are very handy with a small tip soldering iron, you can unscrew the jackets on the Svideo plug, pull it back on both ends, using a magnifying glass you will see one of the wires loose, cold joint, if not, re-solder all the wires carefully. Or, ship it back as the wire to the color at one end is not making good connection. Sorry for the bad news.
