S-Video cable length

I want to buy an S-video cable to run from my TV to VCR. Most lengths are 6 feet or more. I only need 3 feet. Should I keep looking or will signal be degraded with 6 foot run? The choices in my area seem to be Monster Interlink, Ultralink, Philips or no-name. Thanks!

You should be able to find 1 meter lengths (3 feet).

Try on-line retailers. I found many companies that sell 1 meter lengths. I personally use Tributaries Silver Series for my s-video runs.

No, you won't see any signal loss with just a 6 foot cable. You can start to see a loss around 10 feet or more. I use a Tributaries SA 201 S-Video Compensator for my 8 meter run. Not that it's really needed but what the heck, can't hurt. I don't use s-video for many inputs in retrospect.

I have a couple of BlueJeans S-Video cables at 3' Good deal & excellent quality cables. Even 6' is a fairly short run (that's about the length of my monitor out cable) and you shouldn't see any impact on the signal.
