I finally saved enough to get a FV12. The website said out of stock. I emailed and was told the FV12 is being re designed,, and won't be available until at least September...:(

So I've decided that to reverse the karma I'm going to start saving double what the 'toy' costs and donate the same amount I would spend on the 'toy' to food pantry's or other local charities.

You're a good man, Barry. A good man without bass, but a good man nevertheless. :D

Seriously, that's a very generous attitude on your part.

I guess you hadn't been following the threads, because it has been out of stock for quite some time. There's always the FV15 at twice the price :) But I like your idea better.

Question for you - are you set on the FV12, or Rythmik? Are there other subs of theirs, or other brands, that you like?

... to resist the FV15.
I think the FV15 is too large for my room. And too expensive right now.

Yeah, I knew it was out of stock and that's why I was so casual in budgeting/saving. So, like I said, I'll donate this money to a local food pantry and start over.

Originally I wanted an Epik Legend or two. I had read they (Epik) were having some amp issues and were slow to respond to questions. After some research and suggestions from GranteedEV and ADTG, I decided the FV12 was the way to go.
I hope the re design of the FV12 isn't a 'new coke' type thing...

SVS doesn't float your boat? Just curious. I know nothing about Rythmik myself, but I've heard good things here.

I had considered SVS but they are expensive. How do you like your Ultra?

I love it. I don't really play things very loud anymore, so it might be wasted on me. I do love it, though.

If you were to get an SVS, which one would you like? I don't know how the FV12 compares to their offerings.

You mentioned that the FV15 might be too large. If you could get any subwoofer that you wanted, which one would you get?

I think the FV12 would be a perfect fit for my room size.

Have you seen the preview of Power Sound Audio - newest ID brand from ex-SVS Guys?
POWER SOUND AUDIO — XS15

This one is sealed 15" in relatively small box - might be something you'd be interested in
Thanks! I had looked into these guys and then forgotten about them.

I think the XS15 would be too big and too much bass for my room. I think GranteedEV said that a ported sub would best suit me.

Yikes. It's scary when people listen to me. It's like... I'm responsible for the results or something

The Legend has my vote. I believe the amp issues have been resolved.

I should rephrase my question - if you could get any sub that's available, which one would you get?

That's the responsibility of knowledge I guess...:)

I would say the Epik. I'm childish enough that I want what I want, but mature enough to have the patience to wait to get what I want. If that makes sense.
