Double check your connections and ensure the connectors are clean. If the hum still persists, swap out the cable for another. If the hum persists after that, check it with another subwoofer. If the hum exixts, then there is a problem with the AVR. If the hum goes away, then it would be a problem with the amp on teh sub.

Also make sure your sub gain (vol) isn't more than 75%

is there an advantage to using the LFE vs the line input?
Supposedly the LFE input on some of the Rythmik subs extend the upper range response.
