Rythmic LV12-R

I'm placing my order for the LV-12R tomorrow morning. Brian Ding has called me back and will set up a s special link for me that will me order this sub since I'm ordering from Canada. I'm really excited about this.

I promise to have pictures of it and write my impressions of it.. Finally, I'll have a sub that will do lower than 20 Hz in my listening area.

Congrats on your new sub! I have been seriously looking at the LV12-R as well and have been reading as many reviews as I can find. I don't live too far from Rythmik and maybe I can stop by and demo this sub

This one was my first thought to replace my recently "gone missing" other sub. I am considering the small sealed SVS as well, but I am heavily leaning toward Rythmik since I no longer own any Rythmik stuff.

Can you give your impressions since you own one? What sub did you upgrade from? Do you use the sub for music and/or HT?

I just received it today and I have it unpacked and have tried it out without calibratiing it to my Yamaha receiver. My first impressions from a build quality is that its a big solid sub with a nice vinyl finish. I did have to play with the settings bringing the receiver's sub output to 75% range of its max output. I had to scramble back for the volume control to bring it down to approximately 30% on the sub. I will reduce the sub channel trim to 50% of the AVR's output capability before running YPAO. I may also need to do a sub crawl again to see where I get maximum bass. I also noticed that line input gave me more output than LFE input. This is just a quick "where I'm at with this sub" after playing with it for an hour so this is no means a review. I promise to have pictures and write up a full review of my impressions.

Its going to take a little work. I think there is another bass crawl in order as well as a re-run of all my YPAO.

I'm starting to play with the placement of this sub. I decided to try it behind my left tower but as you can see, things are pretty tight. Will there be any interference from a sound perspective of the speaker having the sub so close?

I have my left A/V-2 about that close to my Empire and there's never been an issue.

No issues here.

It's not like my speakers & subs are all crammed or anything.

So is the PSB sub on the other side of the room?
