RXV-2400 won't play DTS

Here's my system:
Yamaha RXV-2400 Receiver
Samsung HD-931 DVD
2 x JAMO D870 speakers
1 x JAMO D8CEN speaker
4 x JAMO D8SUR speakers
1 x JAMO D8SUB subwoofer

I get great sound from all my movies when I choose Dolby Digital as my audio source. However, when I switch the DVD player (in the movie menu) and receiver to DTS digital, I get no sound.

I am connecting the DVD to my receiver using toslink optical cable.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi
Go into the set up menu of the DVD player and select Bitstream
under the audio option Then select Auto on the Yamaha RXV 2400

I had the same problem initially. Activate your setup menu on your DVD and look at the settings for digital out. Many DVD players (especially earlier models) set the DTS output to PCM. If it is set to this, change it to DTS. That worked for me.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the suggestions! I am now able to enjoy my theatre in DTS as well.
