I am getting new speakers for HT. Will be used mainly for movies, tv, and games. I have heard the rx8 and found a great deal on them(1250$). i can't find anything bad about the Aperion audio(grand 1798$). Then i came across the Tekton pendragon(2400$). After reading the review at hometheaterreviews.com i am now really wanting to try the Tektons. Both the online companies will do a 30 day trial but is it worth buying online. Building home theater and want good speakers but i can't afford to go way overboard!
any opinion helps. thx

Personally, I would stick wither Monitor or Aperion. The Aperions get good reviews everywhere I've seen and come highly recommended on this forum.

Can't find anything about tekton? Don't have to look far.

Funny thing is that Tekton was started by an ex-Aperion speaker designer.
Didn't realize that, I guess that does give them a bit more respect. But, I'm not personally familiar with either brand.

Ah, respect. How do you earn respect?

By making $200K speakers ? $100K speakers ?

By having your high end speakers named speaker of the year by magazines ?

By having one of the best measurements on Stereophile and Soundstage ?

By having a large multi million dollar company with tons of R&D ?

By having major studios use your speakers and endorsing the speaker ?
