I just installed the new RX-V861 and everything seems fine with one exception. The On Screen Display is all messed up on my "component" hook up (480p,1080i) but it appears just fine when I switch my television/monitor to "video."
Here is how I'm connected:
480p DVD componet out --> Receiver DVD component in
1080i Cable component out --> Receiver DTV/CB component in
Receiver monitor component out --> Television (monitor) component in (480p,1080i).
(((Receiver video out --> Television (monitor) video in)))
I'm successfully able to switch between DVD and Television programming using the receiver into the monitor component exactly as desired. Unfortunately, when I try to view the receiver "on screen display", it is all garbled on the component and I have to swich my television to "video" taking advantage of the video connection from the receiver to the television.
Why can't the receiver "on screen display" appear properly on the television monitor using the component hookups as the DVD and cable tv does?
Any advise?
