RX-V467 HDMI Have Sound - No Picture - Intermittent

I have an HR20-700 DirecTV DVR and an Internet ready Samsung Blu Ray player, both running through a Yamaha RX-V467 AV Receiver to a new Samsung UN46EH6000 LED TV. The DirecTV DVR is on HDMI2 and the Blu Ray is on HDMI1. I’ve had a Harmony 650 Remote for a couple of years and it has been relatively trouble free. I previously had a Sammy DLP and over the years had occasional problems switching between the HDMI inputs. If I was on the Blu Ray and wanted to switch back to the TV I would get audio, but no picture. This was a random problem and I found that by going back to the Blu Ray and then return to the TV I would get the picture back. Now, I am experiencing this same behavior with the new TV. Again, it is a random error. The only difference is that now the condition is not remedied by simply returning to the Blu Ray and back to the TV. I have audio through the receiver on HDMI2 but no picture and have to wait for it to come back. Annoying to say the least! I’m never sure what’s going to happen when I turn on the system. Everything is fine 95% of the time. I've never had a problem with HDMI1 (Blu Ray always has both audio and video). Obviously, I don’t know which device is causing this condition. I’ve checked all connections and set up’s and all appear to be fine. I’m just curious if anyone out there may have a theory concerning this phenomenon. Thanks.

sounds like typical HDMI handshake issue
How long are your HDMI cables?

Long cables, 8' and they don't really need to be.
8 ft is not long, 25 ft is long :)

You can try do factory reset to your receiver and/or get new hdmi cables.
I'd highly recommend monoprice. Try to get them at lengths you actually need (plus a bit of slack)
