Ok guys, I just called my dealer on the RX-1900 and he said I should really consider the 3800. He will give me this for less than the 1900 and all I would be missing is the 8 point YPAO and the Sat music crap.

What would you do?

No its not splurging to buy last years model. How ever the 3800 is a great unit and I myself don't care about last years or current models. My speakers are older and I love them. My AVR is older and I love thats too.I don't or can't justify buying the newest model every time I want to upgrade. If that was the case I would have to be a millionaire just to feed my audio jones......:D

Tough call. One's a newer model, but the other one is a "higher up" model. Hmmm.

Either way, we're going to make fun of you and make you wish that you got the other one. :D

I can't get a great deal unless something has replaced it.

I love Office Space.

Crap, I dont know what to get. I have to be there by 5pm. If I wait and think it through, I will end up with nothing.

Here is a link at crutchfield that has a compare link

I would go with the 3800. There is really not much difference.

Now go you only have less than 2 hours.

What number are you on?

I compared on the Yamaha site. I like the 8 point YPAO but maybe I am putting too much into that.

So you would get the 3800 if you could get it for 1200 bucks?

The way you have talked before I would not think autocorrection would be a big thing for you. You have your trusty SPL meter and I think this one has the adjustable crossovers you were worried about then I think it is the better deal. The 3800 also has the USB ports on the front and back while the 1900 does not have any.

If I was to choose between the two I would go for the 3800.
