rx-v2700 owners only {internet/server}

I see posts with questions regarding the internet and Server features listed a lot. I had fun trying to figure it out! First I had to manually assign the IP address in the yam to the router, the DHCP did not do it right first of all. Once the IP address was assigned with in the right values for the router, it was perfect. The Server function for Media Player is goofy though. Sometimes it looses contact with the server, (my computer). I noticed that If I restart the computer when the yams on, it will identify the sever then, and play songs. If it sits dormant for a while, or one of the machines is turned off and back on I have to 1 turn the yam on, then 2 restart my computer, sometimes twice. i don;t know if that's the AV or my computers problem.

I'm haveing almost the same problem, I can access the internet but I can't access my PC music flies. Please I need some help.

For those having problems accessing your PC files, try the "Add To Library..." option under "Library" in WMP 11. Even if you already have all the files in your library this may make them show up on the 2700.

I cannot connect my Yamaha RX-2700 receiver to my pc and access shared media.

I have a problem. I cannot connect my Yamaha RX-2700 receiver to my pc and access shared media.

It is connected to the network and can play Internet Radio OK but it cannot
seem to see my MP3 library. I have downloaded Media Player 11 since it is
supposed to have WIndows Media Connect 2.0 (a requirement of Yamaha). I have
shared the Library (Library/Media Sharing/Share my Media to).

I tried the "Add To Library..." option under "Library" in WMP 11. as Hi Ho suggested and no luck.
