rx v2600 problems with hdmi

I cannot seem to connect my comcast dtv/dvr box to my samsung 71" dlp tv, either directly from hdmi out on the comcast box to the hdmi in on the tv---nor using the rx v2600 as intermediary, again using only hdmi inputs and outputs. Is it just me or is there an issue with HDCP errors that is preventing these hdmi connections from communicating with each other. Is there any work around or upcoming fix for this, other than going backwards in technology and using only the component inputs/outputs for video, and digital audio inputs/outputs for the audio? Thanks in advance for any info.

Ralph, Im just going off your info but first try to go direct to tv. Make sure you "Enable" the outputs/inputs on the cable box and television accordingly. You will probably have to get into the menus of both to do this sometimes it is not automatically detected. Also assuming you have a hd cable box (you did not state specifiaclly) you should be able to set the output resolution make sure you are using one that is compatible with your inputs. Try different cabling if you have it on hand. Good luck, Curt
