Suppose you run your front mains in straight stereo and you flatten out the frequency curve on the built in eq would that be the same sound as pure direct? I have set my system up this way and have switched back and forth between these to stereo modes (straight & pure direct) and cannot tell the difference. Now if I let the unit auto setup and don't flatten the frequency curve back out (main's only) than there is a very noticeable change. This lets me have sub out with IMHO the same sound quality as pure direct. Does this make sense?
