RX-V2500 Opinions / Issues

I would like to get some opinions on the Yamaha RX-V2500. I have narrowed down my search for a new receiver to the Yamaha 5890 and the 2500 and leaning towards the 2500. Does the 2500 have any issues like getting too hot, is that why it has an internal fan?
Anyway, I know there are a lot of Yamaha lovers out there and I would really like to hear what you think about these two units, and which way I should go.

Thanks

I love my 2500. It gets warm, but never hot. As long as you don't cram it in a really confined space with minimal airflow, you'll be fine. You definately can't beat the price of one right now either at ~$500 online. If you don't need the XM and the HDMI inputs, you will get better performance form the 2500.

The 2500 is a great receiver for the money. As stated above it does get warm but not to an extreme. It does have a fan that will kick on if needed. I think I have only had mine kick on once when I was pushing the system harder than any normal person would.

Also the 2500 is a very easy receiver to configure. The on-screen menu is among the best. Also there are a number of extended i/r codes that can be useful for programing universal remotes and macros.

Just my $.02

Thanks for the input, the 2500 it is. Anyone have recomendations for an online source? How about Abes of Maine, they offer a Mack warranty with the sale of the 2500?
