I bought an RX-V2400 just before Christmas, and after a couple of months of use, the remote stopped working. Literally none of the buttons would send any command, and the little LCD on the remote didn't show any input.
I returned the remote to my dealer, and they gave me theirs from the floor model. It worked for a couple fo months and now the same problem.
I'm wondering if anybody else has had this problem. Is it something Yamaha should hear about?

I had the same problem. My remote worked for three months then quit on me. I changed the batteries. All is good. Perhaps you did the same, but sometimes its the simplest things that get overlooked.

Batteries are definately a good suggestion, which I did try. Thanks for pointing out the obcious though. Important details. My dealer thought of that too, but this seems to be bigger for soem reason...

Have you tried reseting the remote to its default?

Thanks for the advice Ross. I'll try it if it still acts up after it comes back from the dealer. I never thought it could be a command that I entered into it.
