I just got my new Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver up and running the other day, and I hooked my PS3 and Toshiba HD-A2 up to an HDMI switcher. When I was running through all the inputs testing the connections I found that I wasn't getting any signal from either the PS3 or the HD DVD player. So I unhooked them from the switcher and plugged them directly into the receiver, where the both proceeded to work fine. I used the switcher with my RX-V1600 and it worked just like it should. Any idea why it won't work with the new receiver? I don't really need the switcher right now, but it fills all my HDMI inputs on the receiver and leaves me no room for future additions of HDMI equipment. I'm more curious as to why it didn't work right now, since I don't really need any extra inputs now. But I would like to know that it will work with switchers, and I'm hoping it's just incompatible with the one I was using.

This is the one I was using: http://www.firefold.com/Products/2X1-HDMI-Switch---AutoSense__HDMI-2SWITCH.aspx
