I am trying to hook up analog 5.1 on my amp when I do this and go to test it the volume is very loud even at -80db it's very very loud. I can even somewhat hear the audio on mute. I have no idea what I am doing wrong I have checked my connections many times. Just would like to use my sacd player =/

Did you hook up your SACD to the specified 6 RCA's in the rear?
Have you tried a standard cd player with a digital coax vs analog rca to see if the output is the same?

I have tried my sacd player and my computer on analog the issue is the same. It does work fine for digital out tho. I have had this amp for a few months and now just tried analog last night at least for 5.1 it does this in multichannel. Everything else is fine.

*EDIT*

It seems that anything analog is way to loud and turning down tha volume does nothing.

This is probably a stupid question, but if I have a digital coax hooked up from my Sony dvd/cd changer into my receiver (RX-V1500), do the analog 5.1 multi ch inputs (rca plugs) need to be connected from the changer into the receiver as well? Is it one or the other, or both, that should be connected? Thanks.

You would only NEED the 5.1 analog inputs connected if that dvd changer can play dvd-a or sacd - those formats cannot be transmitted over digital coax (or optical for that matter).

The digital coax is all you need to play DD, DTS, or PCM (cd). Now you COULD hook them up as well if you wanted to experiment to see if you can hear any difference between the coax and the 5.1 analog connections, but no they are not required.
