RX-V1400 PCM and Sub

<font color='#000000'>Just got my RX-V1400 and I have a question regarding my sub and music.  On my old Sony 555ES when I played music my sub was still in the picture.  Now it seems if I read everything right that the 1400 doesn't send anything to the sub if you are in &quot;straight&quot; mode.

Am I correct or as clueless as always?

<font color='#000000'>I believe if you set the LFE to &quot;both&quot; when you are in speaker setup you will get the sub in 2-ch stereo. On my 3300 it doesn't matter if &quot;mains&quot; are set to large or small.</font>
