New to the boards here. Looking for some advice/help. I have a dedicated HT. All high end stuff installed in 2000. Of course it's all trash now and can't get anyone to work on it (Runco crap). Runco DTV933 projector, Runco PFP-7 Controller.
My question is, will the Runco DHD VIVIXII controller run a non-Runco Projector (JVC) (I don't think so)? I have the stack remotely mounted and the only input cable running to the projector is a 5 lead RGB video cable (V,H,B,G,R) It would be very difficult to run new cables (DVI, etc)If I wanted to trash all the Runco stuff, is there a video processor that will take all the inputs (BluRay, VCR, HD Cable) and output thought the 5 lead cable?
Thanks for any help y'all.

You want to get an A/V receiver which will scale all your inputs to HDMI. As HDMI is basically the gold standard now for HD video, this is what you want running to your projector.

ON THAT NOTE...

This is then what you need:

I have personally used one of these and the results were flawless. You get full 1080p HD video over your legacy RGBHV (5 wire) cabling and you don't have to cut a single new hole.

Especially with the new product available on the market, this is THE way to go and you should be extremely happy.

Ditch the Vivex - it is very old technology at this point and will only degrade your image quality.

See what you can get for that old stuff on eBay.
