Hello All

Well, I have gotten over my HK AVR 635 Denon AVR 3805 Delema. I have decided to go with a Denon.

BUT....

In a thread that I started, and since then I have read the same thing in other threads, that the Denon AVR 4805 is soon to be released. We are told to wait and see what happens. Anyway, I would like to know if anyone has information as to when this release is going to happen (Before the new year, sometime in January or Quarter 1, Q2 Q3 ect.), estimate on price, what may be different thatn the AVR 3805.

The reason that I say this is because I have just started building my first system, I would like to get something decent and I am willing to wait until the middle of January if absolutely necessary, but mainly becasue I have a great set of speakers sitting at home looking like ornaments and they have not been used because I have been trying to research recievers. So there is my post, hope there is some information.

Thanks for your time...

;)

The price difference between the 3802/3 and the 4802 was huge. Just an educated guess, the 4805 would probably list for at least $1,000 higher than the 3805; have better and more powerful amplifiers, all the features of the 4802 and the 3805, plus THX Ultra certification, and better 24 bit/192 kHz DACs. I decided on not waiting for the 4805 and spend the saving on a separate 2 channel power amplifier to boost sound quality for music.

Thanks for the Reply. I guess with that much of a difference in price I seriously doubt that I am going to be able to afford it. I have managed to find the 3805 under $950 which is where my budget lies. With an increase in price that large I am definately not going to be able to purchase it.

All in all the Denon 3805 is a great Reciever so I know that I am going to be really happy.

Thanks for the input.

I live in Australia and I have purchased a Denon 3805, over here we get the setup mic included in the box (don't know if they have changed that over in the states). But what I want to say is that I have been very happy with my choice. The sound quality and features are very good for the price. Personally I think it leaves the Yamaha RX-V 2400 for dead.

If you don't get the setup mic included, buy one, as the difference it made to my speakers was fantastic (I use the flat mode).

Cheers
