I was able to score the bottom halves of these speakers as an open box purchase from CC yesterday. My problem is there any way for me to obtain the top halves or is my best bet to try to find a sent of RT55s?

Also I have a pair of RT600s that need new grills does anyone know where I can obtain these?

Thank you in advance

Basically you have bought a couple of subs, and not very impressive ones either. Unless you strike lucky on eBay or Audiogon, you won't be able to obtain the top halves. However you could use any decent bookshelf on top. Just connect the subs to the LFE channel and cross the bookshelves over at 80 Hz.

As far as the grills try Polk. I doubt they will have a set for speakers that old. However making a set of grills is straightforward.

Audiogon, Craigslist, ebay, local classifieds, call Polk to see if there is an existing bookshelf speaker that will work with them and how to connect it.

I like the last option. In fact, you can use the bottom section as a stand alone subwoofer if you have a receiver that does bass management. In that case, you can connect it to any bookshelf speaker that you like, let the receiver do auto setup and boom! You have a floor standing speaker with active bass management.
