Tough call. They’re gonna be more similar than different. As much as I’ve had nothing but great experiences and great times dealing with SVS and Ed Mullen(he is really amazing), I dint think they fill the same spot they used to, and the company is different. Not to say they don’t offer great value in speakers, but I think HSU has taken over their subwoofer value crown.
Rsl, also offers great CS, and I have had many great conversations with joe Rodgers. I also think they represent excellent value and personally would buy a system from them first. But that would be for my bedroom. Or small to medium room. My main room would do better with some ultra towers and big subs. Rsl did just release a new line, and is working on some big boy subs so maybe you buy the cg3 and in time upgrade the mains to the 5’s and move the old 3’s to rear surround(ala7.x).
Just some thoughts...I’d buy from rsl.
