I always loved his acting. Seemed like a classy guy on screen.
Agreed - not many of his kind anymore it seems. I just saw it on the news this morning as I was getting ready for work. It's too bad - R.I.P. Roy. :(

For me, he'll always be remember for his famous movie quote,
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking major. Actually, he says it twice because nobody was listening.;) RIP.

I just read today. Jaws and Blue Thunder are two of my favorite movies.

Blue Thunder - I completely forgot about that one. It's been many years since I've seen it. It came out around the same time the TV show "Airwolf" was popular, but I always thought Blue Thunder was far better. ;)

Another good actor gone. We'll soon be left with all these noob actors who stink in comparison to the older ones. Or am I just becoming my parents believing my time was better? :)

Nope, you're right on target, the old Hollywood (classy) is gone and as the few old actors pass away, the current crop of would be icons show us how they pale to the old generation, both in style, class and talent.

Known to battle giant sharks, traveled to the edge of our solar system, we'll miss Roy.
He will be missed. How many of us watched Jaws in the movie theater and said we'd never swim in the ocean again! :D

Man you're not kidding, I was 13 when that movie came out and I was raised in the water (fishing, diving, skiing, etc), I didn't go near the water for the rest of the year. One of my girl cousins was terrified of taking baths because her older sister would play the Jaws theme and turn off the lights!
