Routine Cleaning!!!!!!

Folks, I just now signed on today because I have been doing something very exhausting to say the least. What is it you ask? Well, I have been doing some routine cleaning. You know, cleaning up the bathroom, dusting and vacuuming out the entire house, and finally sweeping and moping my floors.:eek:

As many of you know, I am a single guy that resides alone. As such, if any cleaning gets done it is by yours truly.:cool: In other words, I have no way to divide my routine cleaning up other than to do only so much at a given time. In many ways, I do that be merely cleaning as I go. That way, things don't pile up on me so to speak. However, over time I still find myself needing to dust and vacuum, sweep and mop, and etc.

While taking the time to do this today, I could not help but wonder how the rest of you guys/gals do your routine cleaning? Of course,, there are other things such as laundry, dishes, and etc. that also need to be done. Sorry, but I have do my dishes the old fashioned way-by hand. :p:p I am such a tight wad, chances are I would not use a dishwasher anyways........LOL!!!! Moreover, just curious as to how my fellow audioholics manage to get things done around the house given the net is so darn addictive. :D:D Care to share how you get things done. Who knows, it may give some of us some ideas on how to get things done quicker and more efficiently. Nothing like sharing and learning imho. We all have something to offer. Why not offer something right now-here is your chance!!!!!! ;);)

Cheers,

Phil

Oh man, looks like a lot to do. Adam, I am very glad that is not your mess to clean up. If it were, that surely would take a lot of time to straighten up. At times, mine does get a bit cluttered.:eek: That pic is the perfect example as to why I try to avoid things piling on me like that. :p:p

 routine cleaning?
Yeah, you know things like dishes, taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping. In other words, what do you do to keep things from building up on you? Do you and your significant other divide up the chores? I try to keep things done up, but over time I have to take the time to dust, vacuum, sweep and mop, and etc. Hope this is a bit more clear. Sorry, if I confused you.

Cheers,

Phil

During the winter months here we split things up pretty evenly. the only thing i don't do is dust. Something about it bores the life out of me.

During the summer I do pretty much all the outside stuff; lawn, pool, landscaping. She takes on more of the inside stuff by herself.

I just got done vacuuming. on to cleaning my bathroom.

I cannot reply. My wife is sitting next to me. I don't want her to discover the inequity of our domestic cleaning situation. At least she's not reading what I'm typing.

OHHHH that.:p

Um..., yeah We have no routine, the wife and I just let it pile up until one of us breaks down and cleans.

The only "routine" we have is laundry. I wash all the clothes every Sunday because if I let my wife do it all of our clothes would be gray or pink and shrunk to a size 0.

Just like Adam I only have me & I HATE cleaning. So the best way to do it is to not be slob in the first place. That is half the trick to keeping things clean. Just put things back where they were & things will stay neat. Then it is a simple matter to wipe up, sweep up/vacumn etc. to keep things clean.

When you take off your clothes, put them in the hamper, when you eat, just wash the dishes when you're done. If you cook, clean up as you go.

I have a dishwasher, but I never use it. Why would I, it's just me & my one or two plates, fork, knife, spoon. Waiting for the dishwasher to be full just means a full dishwasher of stuff to be put away.

The biggest hassle is doing laundry, I doubt there is more boring chore!

You're crazy. Reading that was exhausting, never mind actually doing any of it and routine implies more than once. Forget it. :D

LOL......oh man another good laugh. My 1st wife was basically the same way. Buy a new shirt, wash it only to find out for some odd reason it fits about two sizes too small......Lmao!!!!! :p:p Other than that, like you and your significant other, we used the same sort of game plan so to speak. Thanks for sharing.

It sounds like you and I have a lot in common. Like you, I keep things simple by picking up after myself. I don't mind doing dishes, but I admit I don't do them every single day. :D:D I try to save on my dish liquid..........Lmao!!!!!! :D:D Hey, it is as good as an excuse any any right?:eek: Thanks for sharing.

Interesting read Tommy. Kinda reminds me when we both get on the phone and chat half the night away..........LOL!!!!! ;);) Speaking of that, how is Kira doing? I have sent you several PM's, but have not heard anything back. So, whats up with that my friend?:confused: Just kidding as I am giving you a hard time. Hope all is well and thanks for contributing my friend.
