Rotel rsp980/rda980

I have an integra 7.9 receiver. I have a chance to get a rotel rsp980 5.1 channel surround sound processor and a rda980 digital sound adaptor. I wanted to know if all 3 pieces would work together to produce digital sound from cable TV. Any help would be appreciated.

Your 7.9 is already digital capable with three types of digital input and can handle pretty much any format tv cable boxes can throw at it.... what do you need the Rotel gear for?

I really like the integra, it's just that I've always wanted to try some rotel gear and I can get both pieces for like $60 total.

I don't see how adding the Rotel gear will do anything, and possibly subtract, but you could likely use it by using the multi-ch dvd inputs on your receiver. Can't see it being worthwhile myself....
