Please take my next remark with a large grain of salt... I had an old radio shack design with an auto return and a floating plinth design similar to what you are lookign at and I was never impressed with it. It was very sensitive to vibrations and I heard alot of rumble. I'm thinking maybe its more of Radio Shack producing a cheap table but personally, I'll never go back to that type of design again. Once bitten twice shy...

That turntable was built by Fujiya in Japan which was part of NEC at that time. $75 is a little high but if in good working condition, but if the cartridge/stylus are OK then go for it. There is very little to go wrong since it is a simple AC motor and belt drive, except the drive belt itself..
