Today Energy sent me my new system.. RC-70 Mains, RC-30 as my rears and the RC-LCR. I currently have a RX-V2500 but I want something a little nicer with some more cleaner power so I can get the NAD T973 7 channel X 140 amp or i can get a Rotel RB-991 (200x2) + RB-991 (200x3) for the same money.. i listen to music and theater equally my room is 25 x 25 and i just don't know what to get.. or should i wait 2 more months to wait to have enough cash for the Bryston 9B sst.. please help me out here
Thanks

Emotiva amps

Also check out the Emotiva amps. The UL will start shipping any day and delivers 125 Watts x 6 into 8 ohms or 225 into 4 ohms. One of the channels can be used in mono or stereo to power up to 7 channels for only $700. I will be saving up for this one.
Its big brother the MPS-1 can be ordered with 2 to 7 monoblock channels which each deliver 200 Watts into 8 ohms. Price ranges from $1200-$2k depending on the number of channels.

Never can go wrong with any of the listed brands, but if it was my $, I would spring for the Bryston

Let me start off by stating that it is my opinion that both Rotel and NAD are very good quality gear at their price level. You really can't go wrong with either.

The Rotel models you list would only get you 5 channels, and your RX-V2500 is a 7.1 receiver. Are you running a 7.1 system, or only using a 5.1 setup?

If you want 7.1, then I'd go with the NAD... except that you mention that you could save for another couple of months and get the Bryston. Neither Rotel nor NAD can touch the Bryston. If you can afford it, that's the way I'd go. Of course, you'll still be left with either a 5.1 system, using two channels of your receiver, or needing an additional outboard amp.

If it's just a matter of saving for a couple months more, like said above, spring for the Bryston. Wonderfully made & no one can touch their warranty. I'm not personally experienced with their multichannel amps as I've just used 2 of their mono amps before (don't have them currently, but hope to own some again!), but they drove a pair of Magnepan 20.1's wonderfully. If the monoblocks I had are anything like their multichannel amps, you shouldn't be disappointed and should have your reference amp for the next few decades!
Rotel I haven't owned before, but have listened to Rotel equipment quite a bit at my local dealer, and they seem like very nice amps; NAD I haven't heard as much but there are plenty of NAD guys on this forum that love their equipment; they could tell you more. 'Good things...'
Let us know what you go with and how it turns out.
Brad
