Well I wouldn't broadcast I was silly enough to buy Audioquest cables....but they're not likely the problem. I have no idea what your volume scale on the Rotel even means let alone how you calibrated it (if even possible) for relevancy. Somewhat also depends on the noise floor of your room, perhaps details of your source of audio.
