Rotel 1572 Help

I am playing music and video through HDMI and between songs it cuts 3 seconds or so off the start of the next song. Its almost like there is a noise gate or something but I cannot find anything in the manuals about it. I also have my sons xBox on another HDMI channel and it does the same thing. However on my vinyl/phono its fine so it appears the problem is limited to the HDMI inputs. Can anyone please help?

I experience something similar when streaming Tidal or Bandcamp, but not Apple Music. Seems more to me a function of how certain sources code song transitions (start/stop vs. continuous playback). *shrugs

When you REWIND the song, then does it play from the beginning?

Yes, generally the 3 second pauses happen when the audio is not playing. So when I rewind, there is a break in audible content and then when I hit play 3 seconds go by before the audio is audible again.

In conclusion, the HDMI connector was not a clever design!
