After owning this processor for a few years I have never used the tone controls. Today I was playing with it and notice the following.
bass+tremble on FCR only
bass on rears only and no tremble
sourrounds no bass or tremble-just flat
Is this how this processor is setup or what??

Dunno about the your particular problem, but the word is "treble"

Walter,

I checked out Rotel's website and downloaded your owner's manual. I don't see any mention of those details. The tone controls provide +/- 8 dB at 100 Hz and 10 kHz. I can't remember which speakers you have, but perhaps that explains what you are hearing on them? Perhaps, but probably not.

BTW, if you don't know about it, there is a software update for the RSP 1066 available from Rotel at this link here. You can read what it does in PDF format at this link here.

I have the one with the screen, and my father has the same as yours. It does not work that way at all. If you do activate the EQ it should work across the board. However I never use that function.
