This is an example that didnt go over at all. She said "get those out of this bedroom as fast as possible". She wants in-ceilings in there but I was thinking she wouldn't mind the towers. Boy was I wrong; she was dead serious and a little mad.
LOL.... Why would she deny you good sound in the comfort of your own private sanctuary? I also see you've kept them in the room:D

Are those RF-52's? I have a set of those.

My wife preferred the looks of my little NHT SuperZeros to my DefTech SuperTowers, but at least she knows the HT is MY ROOM!
We're not asking for much. She can have the entire house. All we're asking for is one room. Right?:)

Greg,

where are you ordering your panels. and how did you come up with the total of all the panels you need for your room. I am interested in some panels, hopefully i don't need 200 and change for my room.

I think it's more about communication and ensuring your spouse understands the importance to you to do this. As it relates to WAF, the approach is everything. Any wife who understands the importance of, and denies her loving hubby such pleasures in his own home....is pretty damn selfish, IMO. It's the hubby's job to let his wife know what he needs to be happy:)

Thank god, someone with some sense in this thread.

A key factor in communicating is showing her your excitement regarding the new toys. If you include her in the excitement, it will go a long way toward showing her that you really like this stuff and want to spend money on it.

On a related note, I just have 2 towers and an LCD, during the day the speakers are 6' apart and they flank the TV stand. When watching a movie, they are 3' from the wall and 7' apart, also the couch is pulled way forward so that we are about 7' from everything. (instead of 10' or 11'). We watch 3-4 movies a week. One time we were going to watch a movie together, I came home from work a little late (called first) and it was all set up, just the way I like it.
