I found an interesting website with a room mode calculator that rather impressed me, I punched in my room dimensions and it even gives a graph of the room modes, which is nearly a perfect inverse of the paragraphic equilizer setup I'm using to compensate for the rooms acoustics based on rta calibration.
The only real question is how bad are cellulose cieling tiles for acoustics, the rest of my room is incredibly horrible with 3/4 inch think plaster walls and hardwood floors. The big shag area rug won't go back in till the puppies are thoroughly house trained.
