A post at the AV Science Forum by "Zen Traveler" noted that this concert DVD did not seem to have a center channel sound track.
I checked it (but not 100%) and found that there apparently was no music/performance from the center but there were indeed some of the key sound-effects from the show (helicopter, alarm clock, cash register) recorded to the center....some other pre-recorded sounds went to surrounds........so the center is actually used but not for anything apparently coming from the stage...
Anyone know anything about this? It's interesting because the whole thing is a very solid production and some kind of reasoning went into this selection. My first thought was that the producers did not trust consumer home HT set up and relied heavily on dependable L/R mains for music impact. Any ideas or am I reading too much into this technical oddity?

Some record labels, like Opus 3, do not use a center channel in their surround recordings. Opus 3 thinks that a center channel is an added complexity that does not add to the quality of the production.

I do not know if this is the reasoning behind Roger Waters "In the Flesh".
