Rocket Fish HDMI coupler issue

I have a projector optoma hd20 which has a 25ft hdmi cable connected to it. I need an extra few feet to have it reach my bluray, after coupling the 25ftr and a 6ftr I now have no signal. It works just fine when the 25ft hdmi cable is directly connected.......can anyone give me an idea of what is wrong??

Depends on what coupler and cable you are using. I've used the straight up Monoprice couplers and their 'active' couplers.

Normal coupler:

The ACTIVE ONE DID NOT WORK!

I tried it like 20 different ways without any luck at all.

The normal cheap one worked great. I used a 50 foot HDMI cable hooked up to a 35 foot HDMI cable to get an 85 foot HDMI cable (just for fun!) and passed 1080p across it and I was flat out shocked to see it work without issue.

Hit up the Monoprice and order a few cables if you can.
