Two of my favorite movies growing up were The Toy and Brewster's Millions.

RIP indeed.

Funny guy. He reminds me of Muhammad Ali - how he did so well young in life, and went down hill so quickly in his later years. Sad to see him go like that.

I'll never forget those bulging eyes when he told jokes. Classic. Eddie Murphy made millions copying his style.

Weird...I just read that he'd died and I was shocked- I had no idea he was still alive. I'd thought he'd died five or six years ago.

Richard Pryor's great work was on stage. His stand up routine was the inspiration of many great comedians. He brought "blue" comedy to the forefront. His form of comedy will never be mainstream due to his heavy use of profanity. This did not work well with PG rated movies. He was able to come back from a cocaine addiction and even make fun of his difficulties. His problems with Parkinson's disease removed him from the limelight for many years.

He will be remembered................

Edit: He had MS instead of Parkinson's.

brewster's millions was (and still) my fantasy ... on how to spend money...apparently he never heard of the audio hobby in the movie
