Just seen this when I was on my FB page. Very sad indeed. I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to Burt's family and friends. Prayers going up high! May he RIP!

I've only got 4 Burt Reynolds movies in my collection, "City Heat", "The Crew", "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex", and "Deliverance", the latter one being the best (of my poor collection that is). Oh, almost forgot his cameo appearance in "The Player".

Smokey and the Bandit will always have a place in my memory banks! Grew up wanting to be that guy. If you havent seen it, check out "The Last Movie Star" on Netflix. It basically seemed like his life story. Pretty good film and while I was watching it (came out this year) I remember thinking Dang, this might be his last one. Pretty Poetic ending to a great career IMO.

Will never forget how both Jackie Gleason and Burt Reynolds made the "Smokey & The Bandit" movies so very special. Laughed my butt off many times watching them. Both are very much missed.

Man, he was in so many good ones. His Longest Yard was excellent. Cannon ball run is another favorite.

At least he lived a decently long life.

just by chance I watched this movie, had completely forgot he did a cameo in it (along with James Caan, Liza Minnelli, Paul Newman, and Anne Bancroft)
