RG6 Compression Fittings

I'm going to run around 500' or so of RG6 and need to terminate both ends of each run. I'm thinking compression fittings would be easiest, but not sure. What tools do I need to attach the connector and are the compression type good connectors to use?
Thanks.

I've been using the Hometech website ALOT lately.

It might be a good idea to get a universal compression tool that can do at least F-type and RCA compression fittings if there is even the slightest possibility of custom RCA cables in the future.

I got the Sterling SPLT-COMB compression tool and Eclipse 200-004 stripping tool from HomeTech. So far both are working great after a small learning curve. As mentioned above, connectors can be found at just about any Home Depot type place or from numerous online retailers.

I would also recommend that you purchase a compression tool with greater fitting compatibiltiy than the IT-1000. I've owned that particular tool for over ten years now, and it has some strong points. That said, it limits the fittings I use and it will not do RCA or right angle fittings. When doing in-wall runs that require RCA termination, I use Speakercraft F to RCA wall plate inserts from techtoolsupply.com; althought I'd rather be using a fitting that terminates directly to RCA, such as their new HIP inserts.

Order turnaround time from techtoolsupply.com has been fantastic.

Good luck,
Sam

Thanks for the input. I'm going to be terminating some cables with RCA plugs and didn't think of a combo tool.
