Hi,

I'm new to all this, please help!!!

This is the situation:

Whoever built the home prewired almost every room with AV and UTP.

In my master, I have one wall plate with 6 RG6 and a UTP.

I understand that the idea is that in case of having a DVR, you can have 1 channel to record while watching something different.

Now...on the closet, I have 2 incoming RG6 and I've terminated them with F connectors.

I have another wallplate with 6 RG6 and a UTP.

I was using 1 of the RG6 with an F connector and bridged it so I could watch the cable in the TV set. That worked fine.

Now, I've decided to set it up properly so I bought RCA connectors and wall plates.

After installing and identifying the cables, I ended up with video but no audio.

I tested the DVD directly to the TV and it works fine.

I tested the VIDEO signal into each of the 6 different cables and all of them give me signal on the TV. BUT, if I connect audio (both red or white) to ANY cable, I have nothing on the other end.

Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Please let me know if you need a better explanation but I truly have no idea how to explain it better by now! :)

Thanks!
