I preferred the Old "Star" ratings over the new Good, Very Good, Excelent system. Maybe a "Good" rating sounds better to readers than 2 or 3 stars.
However, the lower resolution makes it more difficult to compare two similar products. For example, how you you indicate 4 1/2 stars, Very Very Good?

I personally prefer the quantified star system better.

Yeah, in all likelihood you'll see some changes in the future but it won't be what you see here. The trouble lies in assigning objective scoring to what is essentially a subjective evaluation (the measurements stand on their own as being objective when applicable).
