Well, my stupid cat ripped the surround quite a bit on the midrange of my pioneer 3 way floorstanders, and since that and the little tiny speaker arent that great, i was wondering what i could use for a suitable replacement. I was looking at car speakers, and i know there are some pretty decent ones (the set is powered by a coustic car amp right now since my reciever broke :D ) but i wanted to know if there are comparably priced, application specific speakers to use. The woofer is fine, it sounds good but the other 2 speakers are not that great.

You may want to check out partexpress.com for replacement speaker parts, they have pretty decent prices and good quality components.

EDIT:
Add an s to the web address between the t and e if I try to put it in this response I get ***************

how does this look? I think they are that size, ill have to get out a CD to check. Also, whats a common size for the tiny speaker? Would one of these be good?

These links you gave don't work, for the tiny speaker I assume you mean the "tweeter" I would think a 1" silk dome tweeter should work just fine.

Well, you need to remember that the crossover in your speakers is configured for the drivers that are in it. The same for the cabinet tuning. Randomly putting in drivers will more than likely yield bad results.

Very true, however I was thinking that he just wanted to get his speaker up and running again. In which case just about anything would be better than nothing.
